The Old Fire House Teen Center (OFH) held a Lunar New Year celebration to bring in the year of the monkey on Feb 9.

More than 70 people participated in the festivities, which were matched with a Mardi Gras supported by the French Club at Redmond High School. Teens from the Chinese Club, the youth advisor board and RYPAC also pitched in to help.

The event was topped off with a traditional Lion Dance from the Lieu Quan Lion Dance Club out of Seattle.

“Sharing the rich culture of Redmond is so important in the things that youth are involved in and this event has been a lot of fun for young and old,” said Ken Wong, Redmond teen programs administrator.
