The Redmond Saturday Market will open at 9 a.m. this Saturday to kick off its 39th season at 7730 Leary Way next to Redmond Town Center.
Mayor John Marchione will cut the ribbon to open the market with a soundtrack provided by the Redmond High School band.
From noon to 2 p.m., Melanie and her Blues Swayed Dudes will perform at the gazebo.
Heart of Dreams alpacas and members of the Redmond Historical Society, King County Master Gardeners and Redmond Fire Department will be on hand all day.
The market is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday, May through October.
The market features 80 vendors weekly, including organic choices in produce, fruits, berries, cheese, eggs, meats, plants, herbs, flowers, breads, jams, honey, fish, specialty sauces and nuts. For lunch, there are crepes, tamales, pizza, Italian food, shave ice, popcorn and pastries.
Listen to live bands every Saturday and find one-of-a-kind gifts made by local artisans. Chef demos, zucchini races, story time, cowboys, hula dancers, kids day and pet parades are just some of the fun in store for this season.
