The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.
Wednesday, April 27
Rocked: A 42-year-old Redmond man was arrested at around 1:30 a.m. for investigation of vandalism after he was seen throwing a rock through the window of a business in the 7800 block of Leary Way.
Tuesday, April 26
Snacks snatched: At noon, it was reported that food and drinks were stolen from the Redmond High School concession stand.
Drug sniff: Bellevue police requested assistance from Redmond police K-9 Vader at around 2 a.m. for a narcotic sniff of a vehicle in the 700 block of 116th Avenue Northeast. Vader located the narcotics and the suspect was arrested.
Monday, April 25
Identity theft: Redmond police took a report of identity theft at 4:49 p.m. via telephone. A man who lives in the 9400 block of 166th Avenue Northeast noticed that another man was using his social security number.
Smashed window: Someone smashed a window at the office of an apartment complex in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.
Sunday, April 24
Stolen bicycle: A bicycle was reported stolen at 7:58 a.m. in the 11400 block of Avondale Road.
Car prowler arrested: Redmond police arrested a 25-year-old Lynnwood man for alleged car prowl in the 17600 block of Redmond Way.
Saturday, April 23
Mail theft: A Redmond couple reported at 10:31 a.m. that four checks were stolen from their mailbox in the 2100 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway and later used online to make payments.
Friday, April 24
Car prowls: There were three reports of car prowls that occurred sometime overnight in the 4200 block of West Lake Sammamish. In all three car prowls, vehicle windows were smashed. In one incident, a laptop was stolen and in another a wallet was taken.
