Redmond High graduation: A new chapter in life begins

There was plenty of green — and smiles — at the Key Arena Wednesday afternoon. Redmond High School (RHS) honored its 482 graduates of 2011, all wearing green graduation caps and gowns.

There was plenty of green — and smiles — at the Key Arena Wednesday afternoon.

Redmond High School (RHS) honored its 406 graduates of 2011, all wearing green graduation caps and gowns.

Graduating senior Arya Nikjoo was selected as the student commencement speaker and choir member Erin Kim sang the national anthem.

Following Nikjoo’s speech, school officials handed out a series of departmental awards for students who shined in certain academic fields at RHS.

The RHS bands and choirs also performed during the ceremony.
