A Redmond naturopathic doctor has been charged with count 1 indecent liberties, according to King County Superior Court documents.

Redmond police acted on a felony warrant issued by the court on Aug. 9 and arrested Dr. Bruce A. Klein at his place of employment, Medical Spa NW, 2555 152nd Ave. N.E. in Redmond, according to Becky Range, Redmond Police Department (RPD) public information officer.

A 29-year-old female victim reported to Redmond police that she was sexually assaulted during an appointment with Klein, 60, on June 10, according to a RPD press release and court documents. After conducting an investigation, police referred the case to the King County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

Klein was charged on Aug. 5 in King County Superior Court and bail was set for $25,000. His arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 18.

Court documents state that the victim had seven to eight prior appointments with the defendant, who treated her for chest and back pain.

Also according to court documents, the defendant also reportedly once sexually assaulted another one of his patients, a 45-year-old woman who had an appointment for back pain, in August 2010 at another Redmond facility. She had eight previous appointments with the defendant. She filed a police report, but didn’t wish to pursue a criminal investigation.

The corroborating statements made by both victims provide probable cause to believe the defendant committed indecent liberties, court documents state.

Redmond police have reason to believe there may be other victims, Range said.

Range added: “Please share information about this arrest with Redmond and Bellevue communities. We have reason to believe other customers or clients may be victims and we are asking them to come forward with any information they may have. We understand this is a sensitive topic, but please call us at 425-556-2500 or email Detective Natalie D’Amico at nldamico@redmond.gov.”
