City of Redmond Mayor John Marchione, City Council members and other city officials will host a reception to celebrate the finalization of the Redmond Central Connector master plan and to discuss how public and private organizations can work together to make the downtown a premier destination.

The reception is Tuesday, June 7 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the City Hall lobby, located at 15670 N.E. 85th St. Refreshments will be served.

The Redmond Central Connector is the former Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad corridor through Redmond. During the next two years, the city will revitalize this area, allowing for improved connections within the heart of downtown and building a stronger community for its citizens.

“The redevelopment of this corridor will both redefine the heart of Redmond and respect Redmond’s history,” said Carolyn Hope, senior park planner and project manager. “The master plan reflects months of listening to Redmond’s residents and business people and is a plan that reflects the community’s values.”
