Ready Redmond announces four upcoming workshops to prepare residents for emergencies

Ready Redmond, a community project seeking to educate and prepare Redmond residents and neighbors for emergencies or natural disasters, will hold four upcoming workshops in June and July.

Ready Redmond, a community project seeking to educate and prepare Redmond residents and neighbors for emergencies or natural disasters, will hold four upcoming workshops in June and July.

The workshops are free and open to the public. Each workshop will cover the same important readiness topics: How to purchase or prepare emergency supply kits for home, car and office; emergency food supplies for 7-10 days; water filtering and storage if you lose access to clean water; how to develop a family emergency plan; how to “shelter in place” and keep warm without electricity and tips for specific hazards that affect the Pacific Northwest.

Here are the dates for the upcoming workshops:

June 18, 2-3:30 p.m.

June 23, 7-8:30 p.m.

Redmond Presbyterian Church, 10020 166th Ave. N.E., Upper Room, CE Building

July 9, 3:30-5 p.m.
