The Redmond Association of Spokenword (RASP) is offering five two-hour workshops for teens at the Old Firehouse Teen Center (OFH) on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m., from Oct. 11 to Nov. 8.
The workshops will cover different genres — poetry, flash fiction, songwriting, comedy and spokenword — and will culminate in a performance for friends and family on Open Mic Night on Oct. 19 from 6-8 pm, at the OFH. The special guest for Open Mic Night will be local radio personality and comedian Chris Cashman, son of Pat Cashman.
The workshops are open to teens ages 13-19 and refreshments will be provided.
This program is produced by RASP and sponsored by the City of Redmond Arts Commission and the Friends of the Redmond Library.
