Embezzlement: Redmond police took an embezzlement report at 1:18 p.m. in the 7400 block of 159th Place Northeast. Officers responded to assist an employer when they requested an employee be trespassed from their property after embezzling funds.
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 10:19 a.m. in the 11200 block of Willows Road. AT&T reported having large copper cables stolen from two generators behind their building.
Monday, July 18
Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 8:21 p.m. in the 7900 block of Leary Way. Officers responded to a restaurant to reports of a female approaching a table, making an accusation to a male there for saying something inappropriate and then spitting on him.
Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 3:10 p.m. in the 11700 block of 174th Place Northeast. It was reported that a man discovered someone opened a Sprint account in his name, ordered five iPhones and had them sent to an extended stay hotel in Bellevue.
Sunday, July 17
Burglary: Redmond police took a burglary report at 8:24 p.m. in the 16500 block of Northeast 92nd Street. The resident of the apartment community stated the suspect was a prior resident, her roommate changed the locks and she was attempting to retrieve her property.
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 2:15 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. Officers responded to a shoplift at Target and spotted a white van in the lot associated with package thefts in the area. Officers made contact with two suspects as they approached the van, found the reported stolen property on them, as well as methamphetamines and a forged Washington driver’s license. K9 Remy detected narcotics in the van, it was towed and Redmond Police Department requested a warrant to search it. Both suspects were arrested and investigations for narcotics, forgery, organized retail theft and package theft are ongoing.
Saturday, July 16
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft of a motor vehicle at 1:41 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 96th Way. It was reported that a 2010 Prius with the keys inside was taken from a residence.
Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 9:13 a.m. in the 4600 block of 150th Avenue Northeast. Officers responded to a business when they requested a man be trespassed from their property. Upon arriving, officers made contact with a man on the soccer field refusing to leave. After repeated requests to leave the property, the man was detained for criminal trespass.
Friday, July 15
Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 1:32 p.m. in the 7800 block of 168th Avenue Northeast. During patrol of Anderson Park after park hours, officers contacted four individuals who were cooking and lying on the ground near a barbecue. After being asked repeatedly to leave, one individual refused to provide his name and became argumentative and angry. He stated officers had no authority, the park belonged to him, commented on recent deaths of officers and resisted when officers detained him. After being advised of several park rules signs, officers calmly took him to the patrol vehicle and transported him to jail.
Theft: Redmond police took report of a theft from a building at 9:45 a.m. in the 9800 block of Avondale Road. A resident reported that a backpack with a wallet in it was stolen from their front porch sometime during the night.
Thursday, July 14
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 11:23 a.m. in the 15700 block of Bear Creek Parkway. A resident reported a car prowl when sometime overnight his back windows were smashed and a digital camera, iPad and instruments were stolen.
Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 10:15 a.m. in the 7900 block of 170th Avenue Northeast. A resident reported that suspect(s) entered through a sliding door and stole a wallet and iPad.
Wednesday, July 13
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 6:22 p.m. in the 17500 block of Northeast 40th Street. Someone swapped out mooring hardware and replaced it with broken ones.
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 12:11 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. Someone stole a $600 band saw.
