Tuesday, Feb. 10

Aggressive shoplifter: A shoplifter at a store in 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast fought with employees and was detained until Redmond Police arrived and arrested him.

Overdose: Redmond Fire Department took an adult male to Evergreen Hospital after he overdosed on an unknown drug in the 18700 block of Northeast 59th Court.

Holding a grudge: An ex-employee at a business in the 16300 block of Northeast 80th Street is refusing to return a laptop computer. Police are investigating since the subject left town and has been reachable only through e-mail.

Monday, Feb. 9

Fraud: Redmond Police investigated a phone scam in the 17100 block of Northeast 92nd Street. Unknown suspects had the victim send $21,000 overseas so she could receive a prize of $1 million.

Game over: Someone forcibly entered a recreation room at an apartment complex in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast and took a Playstation 3 video game console.

Sunday, Feb. 8

Car confusion: Officers responded to a report of an auto theft in the 6200 block of 159th Place Northeast. It was discovered to be impounded by another agency. The alleged victim had lent it to friends and attempted to report it stolen when it was not returned in a timely manner.

Not so safe: Three male subjects forced open a door to an electrical room in the 7200 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway, kicked a hole in the wall, forced a safe open and took money. The incident was captured on a surveillance video.

Saturday, Feb. 7

Flying object: Police responded to a reckless endangerment call after someone threw a wooden board at a moving vehicle in the Northeast 116th Street block of Avondale Road.

Vandalism: A mailbox was apparently damaged by juveniles in the 15100 block of Old Redmond Road. Tampering with a mailbox is a felony.

Friday, Feb. 6

Hot wheels: A resident of the 18100 block of Northeast 95th Street witnessed his motorcycle being stolen.

Watch your wallet: Redmond Police investigated a theft in which a known suspect stole cash from customer wallets at a business in the 15500 block of Redmond Way.

Finders keepers: A violin was left unattended in the 18200 block of Northeast 98th Place and was stolen.

Thursday, Feb. 5

Domestic disturbance: Redmond Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call at an apartment in the 2500 block of 152nd Avenue. A suspect was arrested for violation of a No Contact order and domestic violence assault.

Elder abuse: Police were referred to the case of an elderly woman in the 14400 block of Redmond Way. She is allegedly being financially exploited by her daughter, who is her caretaker.

Shoplifter: A suspect was arrested for shoplifting at a department store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Trespasser: Police responded to a trespassing complaint at a medical building in the 8300 block of 16st Avenue Northeast. The subject became resistive and was arrested.
