Thursday, Sept. 3

DUI: A driver was stopped for traffic infractions and subsequently placed into custody for investigation of DUI, at Redmond Way and West Lake Sammamish Parkway.

Trespasser: A transient man was arrested for trespassing in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

Fraud: Redmond Police responded to a fraud at a residence in the 7700 block of 139th Place Northeast. The reporting party stated she had wired money to someone she believed was a family member.

I got to move it, move it: A victim reported her vehicle stolen while parked in the QFC South parking lot in the 15800 block of Redmond Way. The vehicle was discovered shortly later in the same parking lot at a different location.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

Fraud: A caller in the 8600 block of 161st Avenue Northeast reported harassing phone calls from a collection agency. The collection agency was found to be a fraudulent organization in another country.

Shoplifting: A man was arrested for shoplifting at a department store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Car prowls: Redmond Police responded to multiple car prowls in the parking lot of a business in the 9000 block of Willows Road. Many vehicles were accessed through window smashes.

Monday, Aug. 31

Long-distance runaround: According to the Simi Valley, Calif. Police Department, a Redmond man has been illegally accessing a female Simi Valley resident’s accounts, making password changes and unauthorized purchases. The victim is the suspect’s ex-girlfriend.

Hide and seek: A victim in the 7000 block of Old Redmond Road reported his vehicle stolen during the night from his apartment complex. The vehicle was later located at the other end of the apartment complex and stereo equipment had been stolen from the trunk.

Unlicensed firearm: A man was arrested in the 15600 block of Bel-Red Road for carrying a firearm in his vehicle, without a license.

Sunday, Aug. 30

Bike thief: A resident reported the theft of his bicycle while he shopped at a convenience store in the 8300 block of 164th Avenue Northeast.

Shoplifter: Redmond Police responded to a shoplifting report from a store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast. A suspect was described.

Saturday, Aug. 29

Smash and grab: Unknown suspect(s) smashed the window of a vehicle in the 15800 block of Leary Way and took the victim’s iPod.

Slash and run: Redmond Police responded to a report of malicious mischief in the 17200 block of Northeast 86th Place, where tires were slashed by unknown supsect(s).

Bridal brawl: Redmond Police responded to a fight at a wedding in the 4300 block of 148th Avenue Northeast. One male was arrested for obstructing justice. Police said copious alcohol consumption seemed to be a factor.

Friday, Aug. 28

Repeat offender: A local indigent male was arrested after he was found to be trespassing at a park in the 15800 block of Redmond Way and consuming alcoholic beverages in violation of active parole restrictions. The suspect also was identified as a suspect in an assault case, a malicious mischief incident nearby and was engaged in prior disorderly conduct toward lawful park users.

Young and restless: Two juvenile males had a dispute over a juvenile female in the 11400 block of Avondale Road. One male assaulted the other while his back was turned. No charges were filed and information about how to request a protection order was given to the assaulted male.

Thursday, Aug. 27

Armed and dangerous: A man was arrested for a domestic violence harassment warrant in the 17600 block of Northeast 76th Street. He had a 20-inch sword concealed inside a cane and was also in possession of an electric shock baton.

Embezzlement: Redmond Police took an embezzlement report regarding money missing from a local youth sports team. The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment: A female subject in the 15800 block of Bear Creek Parkway reported telephone harassment from an acquaintance.

Identity Theft: A business in the 14700 block of Northeast 95th Street reported fraudulent cell phone activations using their business credit.

Hot wheels: An unknown suspect stole a bicycle from a store in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. Redmond Police also responded to a report of a motorcycle theft from a business in the 15500 block of Northeast 31st Street. And in the 4300 block of 171st Avenue Northeast, police investigated a report of a vehicle left in front of a home. It was determined that that vehicle was stolen. It was processed and returned to its rightful owner.
