Redmond Police arrested three minors from Seattle Friday night in connection with the assault and robbery that took place at a Shell Station last month. The three male suspects will be charged with first-degree robbery, according to police spokesman Jim Bove.

The three suspects stole cigarettes from the Redmond Shell Gasoline Station on Avondale Road after one of them hit the head of the 36-year-old clerk with a anti-theft vehicle device known as a Club. Initially, police believed that the suspect used a hammer.

With help from community members and video from the Shell Station, police were able to identify the suspects, locate them in Seattle and make the arrest, Bove said.

“They did a great job piecing all together,” Bove said.

The clerk from Redmond was treated at Harborview Medical Center for injuries to the head and released last Tuesday. The incident occurred in the 11600 block of Avondale Road at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 28.
