PCC Natural Markets in Redmond will celebrate its fifth anniversary on June 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Festivities will include cake, free samples, taste tests for children at the PCC Kid Picks Mobile and specials on products throughout the store.
PCC, located at 11435 Avondale Rd. N.E., will also host a barbeque, offering freshly grilled chicken with quinoa tabouli and PCC’s Emerald City Salad for $5. All proceeds from the meals will benefit Redmond Hopelink Food Bank.
“The Redmond PCC and the rest of the PCC organization have been so supportive of Hopelink and the work we do to help hungry people in our community,” said Hopelink food program manager, Scott Milne in a press release. “PCC fundraisers, such as Grillin’ and Chillin’, the five-year anniversary celebration barbeque, the year-round PCC Food Bank Program and the weekly store donations have been amazing and so helpful to our food bank clients.”
The Redmond PCC opened in the spring 2006, offering shoppers organic and natural products in one of the “greenest” structures in King County.
