Overlake Terrace, an assisted living and memory care community at 2956 152nd Ave. NE in Redmond, invites the public to upcoming fundraising events to battle’s Alzheimer’s disease and breast cancer.
• From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, Overlake Terrace will host a garage and craft sale and raffle to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. For information, call (425) 883-0495.

• A team from Overlake Terrace will walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day event, Sept. 24-26 in Seattle. Visit www.passionatelypink.org and search for the team name Ann’s Hair Razors to make a donation.
• Last year, David Standring, personal preferences coordinator at Overlake Terrace, shaved his head before an audience and collected donations to show support for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. He’s planning another “Shave-A-Thon” on Friday, Oct. 8 and this time will also “sell” wax strips to have his legs waxed.
