Overlake Terrace, an assisted living community in Redmond, held its own Senior Prom last Friday, with the help from students at the Bellevue International School.
For the 14th straight year, Overlake Terrace honored its “young at heart” residents by providing a prom-like venue, complete with dancing, food — and of course the crowning of king and queen.
Overlake Terrace residents Leon McLaughlin and Carolyn Hall were crowned king and queen at the event, which featured a Mardi Gras theme.
Students from Bellevue International School helped prepare decorations and centerpieces for the event. Additionally, the Bellevue International School band provided some entertainment.
“It was a fun and colorful event,” said David Standring, personal preferences coordinator at Overlake Terrace. “The highlight of which was the crowning of the king and queen.”
