• Sept. 10 at Overlake Medical Clinics Kirkland

• Sept. 17 at Overlake Medical Clinics Issaquah

“We believe it is important to offer complimentary screenings to help community members learn vital health information,” said J. Michael Marsh, Overlake’s president and CEO. “We are committed to providing a system of care that enhances the health and wellbeing of our community, and Eastside Vitality is one of our most popular events that helps us fulfill this commitment.”

In addition, Eastside Vitality Screenings will serve as an opportunity for the community to become familiar with Overlake Medical Clinics’ primary care providers, cardiologists and other health care specialists. Walk-ins are welcome, but screenings are limited. Pre-registration is recommended — visit overlakehospital.org/eastsidevitality for details and to pre-register.

The final Eastside Vitality Fair on Oct. 22 at the main hospital campus in Bellevue, will feature health screenings plus additional skin cancer spot checks, carotid screenings (based on referral only—check Overlake’s website for details), target heart rate and body mass index (BMI) assessments, voice and grip strength assessments and leg swelling screenings.

Health displays will also be featured at the Oct. 22 fair and include robotic surgery demonstrations, genetic counseling for cancer, nutrition tips for disease prevention and better brain function, as well as CPR and automatic external defibrillator (AED) demonstrations by the Bellevue Fire Department. Overlake providers, including pharmacists, cardiologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, orthopedic and other surgeons will also be on hand to provide their expertise.

Screenings at the Oct. 22 fair will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
