Helen F. Neville, a Bay Area pediatric advice nurse and parent educator, and the author of the recently published “Is This a Phase? Neville will make a brief presentation and then answer parents’ questions. Copies of her book will be available for sale and she will be available to autograph them.

Swim lessons at Idylwood Beach Park

Idylwood Beach Park is now offering swim lessons through Orca Swim School. New sessions run Mondays through Thursdays, July 28-Aug. 7 and Aug. 11-21. Beginner and intermediate classes are held for age groups 3-5 or 7-10 at various times each day.

Basic classes introduce fundamentals and help youngsters become comfortable in the water. Intermediate classes are geared for students who are comfortable putting in their face in the water and can float independently. Intermediate students also work on stroke progression and breathing techniques.

Safety skills are included in all classes. Swim goggles are recommended.
