National expert to discuss Alzheimer’s and dementia at Aegis of Redmond

A national expert on Alzheimer’s and dementia, Teepa Snow, will present “Why Do They Do That?: Understanding Symptoms and Behaviors of Alzheimer’s and Dementia” from 8-10 a.m Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Aegis of Redmond, 7480 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy.

This free breakfast workshop is intended for family members, caregivers and health care workers. Certificates of participation are available to health care workers. To register, call (425) 883-4000.

Snow is an occupational therapist currently working as a dementia care and dementia education specialist. She has an independent practice as well as clinical appointments with Duke University’s School of Nursing and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine. Snow provides educational and training seminars to organizations and health care providers throughout the U.S.
