A 93-year-old Redmond man who was reported missing early Thursday morning was found by police in Bothell later that night, according to a Redmond Police Lt. Charlie Gorman.
Bothell police found Lynden Benshoof unharmed at 10 p.m. in Bothell. Gorman did not know the exact location in Bothell, but said “he appeared fine,” but he was transported to Evergreen Medical Center in Kirkland for “precautionary reasons,” Gorman said.
Benshoof was reported missing at 1:45 a.m. Thursday morning after he did not return from a Wednesday afternoon dentist’s appointment in Tukwila.
Gorman said there was nothing suspicious about the incident and said Benshoof “just decided he wanted to go for a drive for a couple days.”
Gorman pointed out that Benshoof, a resident of Cascade Plaza at 7950 Willows Rd. N.E., is very independent and he recently drove down to Arizona and back by himself for a family reunion.
