Medical examiner seeks help identifying deceased man found in Redmond

The man was found adjacent to the Fred Meyer parking lot, under a covered gazebo.

On Feb. 19, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office reported an unknown man was found dead in Redmond, adjacent to the Fred Meyer parking lot, under a covered gazebo.

The office hopes by releasing a forensic sketch and information, the public will be able to identify the man.

The man, who is believed to be between 18 to 40 years old, was around 5 feet 4 inches and 200 pounds, according to the King County website.

The man had dark eyes, a gap in his front teeth and short dark hair. When he was found, the man’s hair was bleached at the front, and he wore a light gray hoodie, black Goodfellow pants, blue Champion underwear and blue Vans sneakers.

Last May, due to public response, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified a previously unidentified decedent found in the Seattle University District.

“We’re hoping the public can provide similar help in this case,” wrote Dr. Andrew Seidel, the state forensic anthropologist with the medical examiner’s office, in a statement.

If anyone has information , contact the King County Medical Examiner’s Office at 206-731-3232, ext. 1.

Update: With the help from the public, the man has been “positively identified”, according to the King County website.
