ID theft: Redmond police took an ID-theft report at 4:05 p.m. in the 9200 block of Red-Wood Road. The incident involved hospital bills when a brother possibly used his brother’s name when receiving services.
Assault: Redmond police took an assault report involving a knife at 3:31 p.m. in the 8700 block of 160th Avenue Northeast. After spending considerable time with the two men involved, officers received conflicting and at times, confusing reports. Both men had already made arrangements to stay the night at a local shelter, so officers discussed safety plans with shelter staff.
Monday, Sept. 12
Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 3:45 p.m. in the 5200 block of 154th Avenue Northeast. The residents returned from vacation to find someone had gained entry through the back door and stole $8,000 in antique jewelry.
You’ve got no mail: Redmond police took a mail-theft report at 1:29 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 90th Street. Someone pried open an apartment central mailbox.
Sunday, Sept. 11
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a pair of shoplifting reports at 3:31 p.m. in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast and at 2:27 p.m. in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street. In the first case, officers arrested an adult male for shoplifting jewelry at a retail store. In the second case, store employees spotted two individuals in their store they suspect are regular shoplifters. Officers were unable to locate them.
Saturday, Sept. 10
Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 9:18 p.m. in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. Officers trespassed a man who stole liquor from a store and then locked himself in the bathroom.
Shoplifting: Redmond police arrested an adult female for shoplifting at 7:32 p.m. in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.
Friday, Sept. 9
Not my mail: Redmond police took a mail-theft report at 4:48 p.m. in the 10800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast. A resident reported that she found opened mail in their mailbox that is for a different address in a neighboring city.
Bomb threat: Redmond police took a bomb-threat report at 12:52 p.m. on Microsoft Way. Dispatch received a vague bomb threat regarding Microsoft. Officers responded to Microsoft, coordinated with on-site security and monitored until the short timeline given elapsed.
Thursday, Sept. 8
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 10:57 a.m. in the 9400 block of Avondale Road. Someone stole earbuds and a phone charger; there were no signs of forced entry.
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 8:33 a.m. in the 7300 block of 170th Avenue Northeast. Someone stole a purse from the locker room at 24Hour Fitness.
Wednesday, Sept. 7
Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 11:55 a.m. in the 10900 block of Avondale Road. A victim reported that she had computer issues and was contacted by “Online Tech Squad” who offered to assist her. She gave them online access to her computer and the worker walked her through a process that allowed him to access codes, banking information and passwords. Officers believe this was fraudulent, but are investigating further.
Burglary: Redmond police took a burglary report at 10:16 a.m. in the 2700 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. More than $10,000 in bicycles and electronics were reported missing.
