A 59-year-old man was seriously injured when a truck struck the worker this morning in the 4200 block of 150th Avenue Northwest in Redmond.

According to Redmond Police Department neighborhood resource officer Julie Beard, members of the Redmond police and fire departments responded to the collision at 8:37 a.m. The victim, an Arlington resident, was working in the loading dock of a building when a delivery truck was backing into the dock, unaware that the worker was present.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center and was expected to survive.

A full investigation is occurring. At this time, there is no evidence that the truck driver was impaired.
