Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 2:18 p.m. in the 6200 block of 186th Place Northeast. A resident reported that someone stole her checkbook.
Monday, Feb. 6
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 9:45 a.m. in the 2600 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. Someone broke into a resident’s vehicle while the owner was on vacation.
Sunday, Feb. 5
Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 8:59 a.m. in the 16500 block of Northeast 44th Way. Someone used a woman’s credit card in another state.
Saturday, Feb. 4
Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 8:54 a.m. in the 8700 block of 160th Avenue Northeast. A resident reported a fraudulent phone scam. The victim was called by the “King County Police Department” and told she needed to pay a fine. She went to several stores in Redmond and purchased pre-paid green dot cards, giving more than $3,000 in activation numbers to the caller.
Friday, Feb. 3
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 1:11 p.m. in the 11400 block of Avondale Road. Officers investigated the theft of merchandise from a grocery store. An adult female suspect was identified and trespassed.
Thursday, Feb. 2
You’ve got no mail: Redmond police took a mail-theft report at 6 p.m. in the 15900 block of Northeast 85th Street. A man reported that someone stole a personal binder full of banking documents. Later that night, the binder was found at the library.
Wednesday, Feb. 1
Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 7:21 p.m. in the 2500 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. An employee leaving work saw two males near his car, hitting his vehicle with plastic bags containing unknown objects. After approaching the males, he reported they seemed to be under the influence of something. One struck him in the mouth and one kicked him. The victim suffered a bloody lip and was treated by a member of the Redmond Fire Department. The suspects were not located.
Malicious mischief: Redmond police took a malicious-mischief report at 1:53 p.m. in the 8000 block of Avondale Way. Someone was seen tagging the underside of a bridge with spray paint.
