On July 1, Leadership Eastside joined the campus of Together Center, a one-stop human services campus serving East King County.
Leadership Eastside (LE) applies advanced leadership principles to help people rediscover the joys of working together while increasing their value to their organizations and their community. With its focus on adaptive leadership, crossing boundaries and active community engagement, LE is a catalyst for building a vibrant and vital Eastside by equipping, informing and connecting leaders to meet the most critical community challenges.
“We’re thrilled to be located with the human services agencies at the Together Center,” LE President James Whitfield said in a press release. “We’re confident that this location will help us enhance our efforts to increase collaboration among public, private, and nonprofit leaders.”
LE joins a list of agencies that have joined the campus with Hopelink’s exit last year, which outgrew its space, including Lake Washington School District Transition Academy, Apprisen Financial Advocates and Learning Disabilities Association of Washington.
National Alliance for Mental Illness Eastside and Habitat for Humanity of East King County both moved into larger and improved quarters on campus. Friends of Youth is currently renovating the former food bank area for a homeless youth services.
“While Leadership Eastside is not a human service provider, as are most of the tenant agencies that support our mission, we believe that the campus, our agencies and community leaders will benefit from Together Center’s partnership with Leadership Eastside,” said Together Center Executive Director Pam Mauk in the press release.
One of the first nonprofit multi-tenant centers in the nation, Together Center (formerly, Family Resource Center) was designed first and foremost to lower barriers to finding help. Where East King County residents once needed to travel from Bothell to Renton or beyond to find help at individual locations, people from throughout the Eastside now find comprehensive assistance at one location in downtown Redmond.
One additional suite is currently is available, with additional openings at year-end. For more information, contact Mauk at (425) 869-1174 or visit www.togethercenter.org or www.facebook.com/togethercenter.
