Submitted by the Lake Washington Schools Foundation
Lake Washington Schools Foundation has endorsed the Lake Washington School District’s Proposition 1 bond measure. This measure, to be decided by voters on April 22, would raise $404 million to accommodate projected enrollment growth of 4,000 new students in the next eight years, and relieve currently overcrowded classrooms. The bond would fund three new elementary schools, one middle school, the modernization and expansion of Juanita High School with the addition of a STEM-focused high school on its campus, and the expansion of Lake Washington High School. The foundation partners with the school district to support academic excellence for all students.
