The Eastside Business Alliance announced today their sole endorsement of Ross Hunter for King County Executive.
The Alliance is the politcal wing of the Eastside Chambers of Commerce and evaluates candidates based on their ability to understand the needs of the Eastside community.
Hunter is a four-time Democratic legislator from the 48th District, which includes Redmond.
“Ross understands the importance of fostering an environment where business can flourish outside of downtown Seattle,” says Sidney Pepple of the Eastside Business Alliance. “We continue to be impressed with his understanding of county issues and the importance of having an Executive that can represent the whole county. He stood out in a field of well-qualified candidates as the person who could best serve our business community.”
The Eastside Business Alliance Board consists of leaders from the business communities in Redmond, Issaquah, Kirkland and Bellevue.
Candidates were evaluated based on their understanding of issues that companies face operating in suburban cities, and what role county government plays in creating a healthy environment where both small business and large corporations can flourish.
“It’s time for King County 2.0,” said Hunter, a Medina resident. “We need a new regionalism, one that includes the whole county. It is an honor to be endorsed by the Eastside Business Alliance.”
