Adrian Paul, known for his role as Duncan Macleod, in “Highlander the Series,” will be giving a sword-experience workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Center, 16600 N.E. 80th St.
In addition to “Highlander,” which spanned six seasons, 117 episodes and ran in more than 90 countries world wide, Paul has starred in a number of action films, including two “Highlander” films.
He has also choreographed sword fights and action sequences for both television and film during his 30-year entertainment career. During that time, he also directed and produced TV and film and founded his charity, The Peace (Protect, Educate, Aid Children Everywhere) Fund. The Peace Fund has been in existence since 1997, helping improve the lives of children, in the United States, Haiti, Thailand, Cambodia, Pakistan, Hungary and Romania.
In June 2015, Paul ran a sword-experience workshop, to raise money for one of the children the Peace Fund supported. The event went well so Paul decided to hold other similar events at venues across the United States.
At this workshop, Paul will be hands on to pass on some of the knowledge he learned while working with world-renowned action stars, stunt choreographers and sword masters.
The workshop will include demonstrations, Hollywood insider tips, individual group instruction, paired group instruction, individual tips and adjustments and more.
