Businesses, community groups and nonprofits around the country are coming together on Nov. 27 for Giving Tuesday to promote giving back to the community.

Businesses, community groups and nonprofits around the country are coming together on Nov. 27 for Giving Tuesday to promote giving back to the community.

Redmond’s Friends of Youth is one of 1,000-plus organizations in all 50 states participating in this day of giving. As an incentive to participate, The Raikes Foundation has offered to match up to $25,000 in donations made on Nov. 27 to Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Auburn Youth Resources.

Friends of Youth works closely with YouthCare and Auburn Youth Resources to develop regional solutions to youth homelessness, and The Raikes Foundation has been a strong supporter of that work.
