Evergreen Hospital Medical Center’s new mobile digital mammography coach begins providing mammograms at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Canyon Park Evergreen Medical Group. This will be the first time the 40-foot mobile mammography coach will be open for patients.
It will be at the Canyon Park clinic in Bothell every Tuesday, at the Sammamish Evergreen Medical Group each Wednesday and the Duvall Evergreen Medical Group on Thursdays.
The coach is equipped with the same digital mammography equipment used in the Breast Center at Evergreen Hospital. Patients will register in the reception area and complete a clinical history form in the relaxing environment. After changing into a gown in one of the private rooms, the mammography tech performs the exam.
The mammography images are interpreted at the Breast Center by board certified breast radiologists.
Screening mammograms are also analyzed with computer detection tools. The radiologist’s report is then sent to the patient’s primary care provider.
When patients call (425) 899-2831 to schedule their mammograms, they will be offered the option of an appointment in the mobile coach or at the Breast Center at Evergreen Hsopital. You do not need to be a patient at an Evergreen Medical Group primary care clinic to access the mobile mammography coach.
Funds to purchase Evergreen’s mobile digital mammography coach were donated at the 2008 Evergreen Gala. Guest donations were generously matched by Evergreen Healthcare Commissioner and Foundation Trustee Al DeYoung and his wife, Donna.
The Canyon Park Evergreen Medical Group is located at 1909 214th St. SE, Bothell. Sammamish EMG is at 22850 NE 8th and Duvall is at 14720 Main St. NE.
