Eastside Republican Club offering students $1,000 scholarship in essay contest

High school seniors and college freshmen and sophomores are invited to apply for the Eastside Republican Club scholarship program for the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

High school seniors and college freshmen and sophomores are invited to apply for the Eastside Republican Club scholarship program for the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Students must live in King County or attend a public, private, or home school located in the county and submit an essay on the topic addressing the following question: “Why do free markets work? What should the president do to spur economic growth?”

Essays must be no more than 500 words long and must be submitted to scholarship@eastsiderepublicanclub.org no later than April 16. The winner of the scholarship will be announced at the club’s monthly dinner meeting in Redmond on May 1.
