Eastside native celebrates 100 days to graduation from West Point

Last month, Daniel Valderrama celebrated his 100 days to graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in New York.

The Sammamish native was selected to join the Army Corp of Engineers upon graduation in May and was accompanied by Mattie Lee of Redmond, who is studying at the University of Washington’s School of Pharmacy.The 100-days event featured guest speakers, receptions, a theater show and a banquet.
