Canine Companions for Independence will host DogFest Walk ‘n Roll Seattle, a family-friendly and dog-friendly walk and festival celebrating and benefiting Canine Companions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
It’s free to register and to attend the event, which features dog-centric activities, local vendors, Canine Companions
puppies and Canine Companions graduate speakers and assistance dog demonstrations. To register, visit www.cci.org.
DogFest Seattle features KIND Bar giveaways, homemade dog treats from the Seattle Barkery, Bowser Beer (beer for dogs), a dog art booth by Painted Palace, a canine costume contest, temporary tattoos for dogs and many more vendors and activities.
Meet Canine Companions graduate, 13-year-old Seattle local Matthew and his assistance dog, Mindy, as well as Canine Companions graduate and University of Washington student Macy, and her service dog, Destry.
Macy explains her partnership with Destry, “Destry helps me with all the little things that I would normally have to ask a stranger to do, which is absolutely huge. When I received Destry, I gained a whole lot of independence back.”
