Redmond-based DigiPen Institute of Technology is partnering with Kirkland Summerfest as the presenting sponsor for the science and technology demonstrations for the upcoming summer festival.

Kirkland Summerfest is Kirkland’s largest festival of music, art, food and culture, taking place Aug. 9-11 in downtown Kirkland. Admission to the festival is free.

DigiPen will be creating TechZone at the festival, which will feature information about game development opportunities and hands-on demonstrations in technology of student developed video games.

TechZone will give the public an opportunity to interact with educational exhibits, multi-player game playing and provide a foray into fine art with easels for bringing drawings to life. TechZone will be part of the festival from Aug. 10-11.
