Last week, facing the challenge of a one-day turnaround, Eastside Baby Corner (EBC) supporters and the local community pulled together, donating nearly 3,000 diapers and Pull-Ups and 11,000 wipes to help children impacted by the fires in eastern Washington.

Late last week, EBC received a call from relief organizers in Wenatchee asking for assistance with diapers, wipes and Pull-Ups. EBC had sufficient diapers to be able reallocate 10,000 to the relief effort. However, they did not have enough Pull-Ups or wipes to contribute, and decided to ask for help collecting these items. Relief organizers, needing the supplies immediately, came to pick up the donations Saturday morning — leaving donors just one day to get their contributions to EBC.

The 13,000 diapers and Pull-Ups (the combination of donated and EBC-supplied diapers) and wipes should be enough to keep 100 children in diapers for a month.
