City of Redmond’s community events manager Lisa Rhodes will be the next speaker at the Redmond Senior Center’s (RSC) First Friday Coffee Chat on Aug. 3.
The chat will be from 10-11 a.m. in the Fireplace Lounge of the RSC, 8703 160th Ave. N.E.
Rhodes will discuss what it takes to produce city celebrations such as Derby Days and Redmond Lights. She will explain the city’s role in building community through partnerships with businesses, volunteers and various city departments. Rhodes will also provide a sneak peak at what can be expected during the upcoming centennial-themed Redmond Lights event happening in December.
The First Friday Coffee Chats occur on the first Friday of every month. September’s guest will be Redmond parks and recreation Director Craig Larsen.
