The third annual Redmond Color Run for Heart welcomed more than 600 runners on May 14 at Redmond Town Center and all proceeds — $17,000 — benefited the American Heart Association (AHA). Several Redmond High School seniors volunteered their personal time to Redmond Town Center and the Puget Sound chapter of the AHA to help manage, staff, promote and organize the 5K.
Following the race, attendees enjoyed the upbeat local band, The Velvet Mornings, in Center Court. Vendor booths, including Curate and Voya Financial, gave away free samples, and a kid’s coloring and educational station helped inform attendees on heart health and how to spot the signs of a stroke.
