Skate Like a Girl’s mission is to empower girls and woman of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes, through skateboard programs, an arena where women and girls are typically excluded. Skate Like a Girl has served over 500 young women in the Seattle area, setting up workshops and camps in surrounding teen and community centers.
“Skate Like A Girl is dedicated to empowering girls and women to make healthy decisions and become confident leaders through skateboard programs. I’m delighted to be honored as a L’Oréal Paris Woman of Worth for my work and be in the company of such amazing women,” remarked Chang.
