The City of Redmond needs volunteers to help determine when and how many people use the city’s park system. This information will help the city determine peak usage hours and plan future park needs.

The park system is divided into several zones, each one able to be surveyed in approximately two hours. Each volunteer picks one of the zones and travels at various times of day to each park in the zone, recording usage in several areas. All the data is then completed online through a specific Web site.

The following are the designated park zones:

• Juel, Farrel McWhirter, Perrigo, Sunset Gardens

• Hartman, Nike, Reservoir, Meadow

• Luke McRedmond, Anderson, Slough, The Edge Skate Park, Municipal Campus

• Spiritbrook, Grasslawn, Westside, Willows Creek

• Cascade View, Idylwood, Viewpoint
