The City of Redmond launched a new website designed to promote community and city sustainability efforts, provide information to residents and businesses and allow residents to interact with and learn from one another in a fun and compelling way.

The new site can be found at www.impactredmond.com. Components include a dynamic interactive element for live tracking of users’ resource consumption; an-easy-to use carbon calculator; information on the city’s sustainability programs in energy, resources, development, stewardship and transportation; case studies showcasing local residents who have taken steps towards living a more sustainable lifestyle and a pledge card for ways to make a positive impact. Impact Redmond also allows users to follow blogs and community discussion boards to facilitate the sharing of information.

The Impact Redmond website was possible through funding provided by the Department of Energy through an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant and the Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). It was developed by local web design firm, Bullseye Creative.
