Picking out a Christmas tree is one of the easiest ways to get into the holiday spirit.

And with three local tree farms, Redmond residents don’t have to go far to find the perfect tree.

McMurtrey’s Red-Wood Christmas Tree Farm, 13925 Woodinville-Redmond Rd., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Dec. 23. Customers can choose from precut or U-cut trees. Saws are provided by the farm. U-cuts close at 4 p.m. A variety of Christmas trees are available, including Noble, Grand, Douglas and Fraser firs. In addition to picking out a tree, customers can enjoy free hot chocolate, hot cider and candy canes as well as free wagon rides. Mistletoe, wreaths and decorations can also be purchased at McMurtrey’s. They accept cash or check only.

Noel Tree Farm, 26019 NE 40th St., has precut trees available for purchase through Dec. 24. They are open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tree varieties include Noble, Douglas and Grand firs as well as Colorado Blue and Norway spruces. Customers can also purchase wreaths, garlands and tree stands. Free beverages are also available. They accept Visa, checks and cash. For more information, call (425) 868-1707.

Serres Farm, 20306 NE 50th St., has both precut and U-cut trees for purchase through Dec. 20. They are open weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Customers can pick from Noble, Turkish and Douglas fir trees.
