A 36-year-old mother who pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges of her 16-month-old son had her case-setting hearing continued from Tuesday to Nov. 8 at King County Superior Court, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
According to court documents, King County Sheriff deputies arrested Tami Annett Christianson at her parents’ home near Redmond on June 4 for investigation of the murder of her son. She was charged on June 8 and is being held in King County Jail in Seattle on $1 million bail.
During their initial investigation, deputies uncovered evidence that the boy’s mother had possibly caused the fatal injuries. Court documents state that an autopsy revealed that facial petechia consistent with asphixial mechanism was discovered.
