Firefighters are investigating a suspicious overnight blaze at the Celtic Bayou restaurant at 7281 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy N.E. in Redmond for arson, according to Mike Hilley, Redmond Fire Department (RFD) spokesperson. No one was injured in the fire and there was no damage estimate at post time.

Hilley confirmed a komonews.com report that RFD responded to a 911 call at around 1 a.m. Thursday regarding smoke coming from the building. Upon arrival, firefighters could see flames through the front glass door, and crews extinguished the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to other businesses in the strip mall, the site states.

Hilley and the news site noted that there were unconfirmed reports that people were seen fleeing from the restaurant when RFD crews arrived.
