Cedar Lawns Memorial Park and Funeral Home will hold its fourth annual Memorial Day service beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday at the cemetery, 7200 180th Ave. N.E. in Redmond.

The Memorial Day service will include recognition of veterans and active duty military personnel, posting of the United States and Washington flags by the Overlake Composite Squadron Color Guard, bagpipes performances and performances by vocalist Greta Matassa.
“The annual Memorial Day observance is our way of saying, ‘thank you’ to the men and women who have served and who have sacrificed,” said Carrie Burgess, general manager of Cedar Lawns Memorial Park and Funeral Home. “We hope the families who join us for the celebration gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of honoring those men and women who died in war while serving our country as well as for those who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces.”
