The body of a 44-year-old Bellevue man was found Tuesday night near Overlake Hospital. He had had difficulty breathing earlier in the day and apparently drove to Overlake for treatment. Hospital security found him around 11 p.m., lying in the bushes about 30 yards west of the ambulance entrance to the emergency department.
Bellevue firefighters already at the hospital on an unrelated incident were called, and they and hospital staff attempted life-saving measures in the ER, but were unable to revive the man.
Bellevue Police were called to the scene to investigate at about 11:10. They found no signs of trauma or foul play. The investigation continues and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
