Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 8:57 a.m. in the 9600 block of 168th Avenue Northeast. A citizen called police to report $3,000 having been fraudulently transferred from one of his bank accounts. An officer attempted to contact the caller, but received no answer on the number provided and was not able to leave a message. No further action was taken until the victim calls back.
Monday, June 5
Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 1:45 p.m. in the 10700 block of Willows Road. Officers responded to a private school after a staff member was assaulted by a juvenile student. The victim was treated for facial injuries at the scene. Charges of second-degree assault will be filed against the suspect.
Sunday, June 4
Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 6:03 p.m. in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast. A transient subject entered a grocery store and proceeded to damage property owned by the business. The individual also threw items at a manager and other customers. There were no injuries. Responding officers found the suspect running across the parking lot and quickly apprehended him. Charges of assault and malicious mischief were filed and the suspect was booked into jail.
Saturday, June 3
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 8:03 p.m. in the 15900 block of Redmond Way. An officer investigated the theft of a mobile phone at a local fast food restaurant. There is no suspect information at this time.
Friday, June 2
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 1:31 a.m. in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street. Two adult suspects entered a local grocery store and selected $42 worth of beer. The suspects then left the store and drove off without paying for the beverages. No suspect information exits at this time.
Thursday, June 1
Drug offense: Redmond police took a drug-offense report at 10:38 a.m. in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. An officer checked on a couple found sleeping in a vehicle next to a business. The officer woke the pair up and subsequently discovered items of drug paraphernalia in their possession along with suspected narcotics. The vehicle was seized as evidence pending a search warrant application. Both suspects were arrested for charges related to drug paraphernalia/narcotic possession.
