This month, The Bear Creek School’s “Hidden Treasures Sale” raised $3,616 to support Sri Lanken children orphaned in the Christmas tsunami of 2004. Now in its seventh year, the sale is held each December at The Bear Creek School’s Valley Campus near Perrigo Park. All proceeds are donated to the Indra Silva Memorial Nutrition Program, which provides orphans with four meals each week, as well as clothing, shoes and tutoring.
