Redmond residents are invited to bring their neighbors and celebrate the importance of trees and forest ecosystems by joining the City of Redmond Parks and Recreation Department at Arbor Day 2012 on April 11 at Farrel-McWhirter Park, 19545 Redmond Road, from 3:30-6 p.m.

“Taking care of our community forests demonstrates the city’s ongoing commitment to the preservation, protection and enrichment of our environment,” said Park Operations Supervisor Teresa Kluver. “Preserving our trees and forests is vital to maintaining our quality of life and working to build a better future. I hope residents will want to take part in this effort.”

All ages are welcome, although all volunteers younger than 18 must either be accompanied by an adult or bring a signed waiver — available at www.greenredmond.org, on the Volunteer Schedule page.
