About 80 Amazon volunteers clean up and improve the habitat at the Marymoor Park BirdLoop in accordance with Eastside Audubon last Friday as part of King County for United Way’s Day of Caring.

Other Redmond area projects included about 50 AT&T volunteers and about 30 PCL and Astronics volunteers doing clean-up work at Friends of Youth and VFW Post 2995, respectively.  Overall in the King County area, more than 12,000 volunteers worked on community service projects by renovating community centers, reading to children, filling backpacks and nutritious meals for hungry kids to take home for the weekend backpack program and more.
