Karen Blankenbeckler, vice-president of academic affairs at The Bear Creek School, stated, “In developing the preschool curriculum, we identified certain foundational concepts, skills, and knowledge that children need to attain in the preschool years in order to experience school success. In the past, as a K-12 school, our primary avenue for impacting early childhood development was working with parents and training them to enrich their child’s experiences at home. Having added, and now expanding our preschool program, allows us to directly teach and foster key developmental learning with three- and four-year-old students.”

Tressa Parker, early childhood coordinator shared, “We have a significant number of families and students from the greater Woodinville area who are already a part of The Bear Creek School. We saw a need for a strong Christian preschool program in the community and are thrilled to be able to offer preschool classes in Woodinville in addition to our Redmond location.”

The Bear Creek School preschool program is designed to pique enthusiasm, develop a thirst for knowledge, and create a passion for learning. This cultivation of academic growth in a safe learning environment creates an atmosphere that is conducive to healthy brain development in early years.
