The thespians of The Bear Creek School will transport the audience to Scotland as the gathering place for “double, double toil and trouble.” As Scotland wars with Norway, three witches tell Macbeth that he will be king.

In order to assist the witches’ prophecy, Macbeth, urged on by his wife, sets out to murder King Duncan of Scotland. And just to ensure his throne, he continues his murderous ways, putting all who cross his path in danger.

The setting is a dark and eerie castle in Scotland where ghosts and a floating knife appear to no one but Macbeth, as he drifts into insanity. Filled with deception and evil doings, this play is considered one of Shakespeare’s deepest tragedies.

The show is directed by Dr. Ron Lynch.

Performers include Cole Probus of Sammamish as Macbeth; Erica Leuenberger of Redmond as Malcom; Tajel Mehta of Redmond as Lady Macbeth; Ellie Probus of Sammamish as Macduff; and Jacob Hamilton of Sammamish as Banquo.
